Quality Systems Specialist 1
Site FOD and Tool Control Focal reports to MAF Quality Manager and ensures compliance to all BDS/MAF FOD and Tool Control polices. Ensures all production areas are in compliance with MAF FOD and Tool Control processes through audits, spot checks, and monthly reports from area FOD and Tool Focals. Works closely with MAF Material Management Organization to ensure tools and tool boxes are properly maintained and in compliance. Coordinates corrective actions, status management through monthly reports, and ensures training is completed by all personnel through collaboration with the MAF Training Department. Site FOD and Tool control focal also participates in monthly BDS collaboration virtual meetings and reporting. Reports immediately to Safety and production any unsafe conditions found during audits and spot checks. Works closely with production managers and area focals to address concerns or issues and serves as the conduit between the floor production areas and management in matters dealing with FOD and Tool Control. Site FOD focal will conduct a FOD Awareness briefing covering FOD requirements (e.g., Tool Card Usage, Clean-As-You-Go, Lost tool/item process, etc.) for visitors, vendors, suppliers, prime/sub-contractors as necessary.
